Marantz PMD620 Handheld Recorder = $36.00/day This recorder is about the size of a wallet (2.5” x 4” x 1”) and weighs less than 6 ounces. Records audio as a WAV or MP3 file, in mono or stereo, at 44.1 or 48 kHz, and at 16 or 24 bits. It is perfect for “out in the field” type situations. The PMD620 also has the ability to play back the recording. An AC power adapter is included, but the PMD620 can also be powered by two AA batteries.
